Athletics Director: Albert Lim

The school’s colors are purple and gold. Our mascot is a brahma bull. We are a member of the Palomares League for the 2017-18 season and will move to the Mt. Baldy League in the 2018-19 season.

We who are concerned with the educational development of young men and women through athletics feel that a properly controlled, well-organized sports program meets with the students’ needs for self-expression, mental alertness and physical growth. It is our hope to maintain a program that is sound in purpose and will further each student’s educational maturity.

A student who elects to participate in athletics is voluntarily making a choice of self-discipline and self-denial. These are the reasons we place such stress on good training habits. Failure to comply with the rules of training and conduct means exclusion from the squad. This concept of self-discipline and self-denial is tempered by our responsibility to recognize the rights of the individual within the objectives of the team. There is no place in high school athletics for students who will not discipline their minds and bodies for rigorous competition. We are striving for excellence and do not want our athletes to compromise with mediocrity.

DBHS Athletic Philosophy

Since 1982, Brahma teams have excelled in both the athletic and academic arenas. A tradition of excellence that has been established by the many young men and women who have gone before, to create one of the best high school programs in the United States. The expectation for Brahma is to set High performance goals and always put a “championship effort” in all we do.

Athletics is just one of many parts of the educational program at Diamond Bar High School. The reason students are at school is to learn and therefore academics come first! The very best is the expectations of every Brahma athlete. DBHS recommends that students participate in 2-3 sports during all four years of high school. This maximizes the opportunity for an athlete to learn about their skills and interests. Therefore:
